Court Executive Officer 8.2022

The Position The Court Executive Officer reports to the Presiding Judge and works under the authority of the judges of the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino. The Court Executive Officer manages and oversees the overall administration of the court including allocation of resources to promote access to justice for all members of the public; plans, directs, and coordinates the non judicial activities of the court; functions as the Clerk, Executive Officer and Jury Commissioner of the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino; ensures court operations are conducted in an effective, efficient, and economical manner and performs related duties as required. The Court Executive Officer provides leadership and guidance to court employees, creating a positive and engaging work environment in which employees provide outstanding service to the public and identify innovative and efficient methods of performing the work of the court. The Court Executive Officer shall be selected by election of a majority of all judges of the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino. (See, Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino, Local Rules, Rule 240.)  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, political science, business administration, or closely related field and,  At least five (5) years of progressively responsible court operations and,  Administration experience within a public or private agency which involved having the responsibility for planning, organizing and execution of varied work programs, including five (5) years of responsible leadership experience. Position Requirements

Master's degree in public or business administration and experience in a California court with 50 or more assigned judicial positions is highly desirable.

Must be able to travel in-state and out-of-state, requires a valid California Drivers License to perform the essential functions of the job or have other means of transportation to travel within the County of San Bernardino.
